Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Temple Church, 9657 S. Arnold Road, Gypsum, KS, 67448 on Saturday, January 23, 2021.

A graveside service in the Temple Church Cemetery, officiated by Aaron D. Mullins, will be held following the visitation.

Dennis graduated from East Side High School in East St Louis, IL and graduated from Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music in Michigan after attending Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. He and Sharon moved to Gypsum, KS in 1970 where they have faithfully and selflessly served the congregation of Temple Church in Gypsum for 50 years. He was a Lineman for Westar Energy in Salina, KS for 36 years and found great satisfaction working alongside those providing what he felt was one of the greatest services to people. Dennis loved his family and congregation unconditionally, enjoyed every minute of line work, working storms and all the opportunities he had to help farm, milk cows and work cattle horseback. He loved playing baseball as a child and watching the St. Louis Cardinals as an adult. His greatest love is for his Saviour who came to earth as a baby in a manger, choosing to be the ultimate sacrifice for all of humanity on that horrific cross, was raised again and is now sitting at the right hand of God preparing a place in glory for all who accept His precious gift. Dennis shared this truth with everyone he met – “If we meet and you forget me, you have lost nothing, but if you meet Jesus Christ and forget HIM, you have lost everything.” His greatest desire was that all come to know the same Lord and Saviour who rescued him so that eternity could be spent together worshiping our God who perfectly loves us. He is finally home.

“Just think of stepping on shore and finding it heaven, of touching a hand and finding it God’s, of breathing new air and finding it celestial, of waking up in Glory and finding it Home”.
