Burglars ransack a business in Assaria.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a break in at Assaria Oil and Hardware, 104 W. Main, that occurred sometime between Monday night at 7pm and Tuesday morning at 7am.

Deputies report thieves broke a glass panel on a garage door to gain entry – then removed numerous items including about $900 in cigarettes, 23 flashlights, and about $100 in cash.

Total loss and damage is listed at $1,895.
