Cora “Alice” Hogan, 92, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021. She was born September 13, 1928, in Amity, Mo., to Jesse Thomas and Myrtle Ivy (Pulley) White. She married Weldon C. Hogan on August 29, 1948.
Alice was an elementary school teacher in Salina for 32 years, primarily at Grace E. Stewart. She was a member of First Christian Church and enjoyed volunteering at the Salina Community Theatre and Smoky Hill Museum. Alice was an avid golfer, quilter, gardener, and was well known for her gooseberry pies.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Weldon; grandson, Samuel Wiley; four brothers; and five sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Gerry Logan (Peter), San Jose, Cali., and Brenda Barnard (Bill), Kalaheo, Hawaii; grandchildren, Jay Wiley and Daphne Barnard; and brother, Daniel White.
A memorial service will be announced later. Private family burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or an Alzheimer’s organization of donor’s choice, in care of Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
