Ernest “Ernie” Eugene Cole, 85 of Salina, passed away, Tuesday, June 22, 2021.  He was born Sept. 25, 1935, in Salina.

Ernie worked as a custodian for USD 305 for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest H. Cole and Cora VanNess; sisters, Darlene Woods, Betty Rice; 2nd wife, Shirley D. Cole in 2016; son, Donald E. Cole and daughter Sylvia Thomas.

Survivors include his wife, Esther Cole, two sons, Dean Cole (Marrisa), Mike (Susan) Brummett, a daughter, Herminia M. Casubuan; 37 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Sims, Cora Short.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 1, 2021 with the family present from 9:30 to 11:00 am with service following at 11:00 am at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina.
