Born in Reno, NV, Rod was an avid Star Wars fan from a very young age with his favorite character being Yoda. He loved to be outdoors exploring and riding trails on his mountain bike.  With this love of the outdoors, he enjoyed playing Disc Golf for many years achieving an Amateur Championship in 2014!

Rod worked as a pressman for over 17 years with Consolidated Printing company in Salina, KS where he was liked by all but none more than his amazing friend, Debbie Meece.  They shared a love for movie one-liners which always made the other laugh. A true friend who stayed with him to the end.

Rod is survived by his mother, Margie Cooley; son, Kelly Cooley; sister, MaryAnn Omohundro; brother, Chad Cooley; along with a niece and nephew and his beautiful granddaughter, Olivia.
