A Salina man is treated at the hospital after an argument turns violent.

Police are searching for a known suspect after a 27-year-old man was hit in the head twice with a blunt object.

Police were called to a residence in the 600 block of N. 7th on Wednesday evening just before 10pm after the man, who was bleeding from two gashes on his head, went to a neighbor’s house for help.

Police say the suspect used an an unknown object to strike the victim on the head before fleeing the scene.

The man was treated for a 3-inch gash on the ride side of his scalp and a V shaped cut on the back of his head and then released from Salina Regional Health Center.
