Wayne L. “Bud” Boyd Sr., 82, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021. He was born in Salina on October 23,1939 to Ruby and Della (Garrison) Boyd.

He married Deloris on October 28, 1960.

Wayne worked in various positions for the United States Postal Service for 34 years. He and Deloris then moved to Lincoln, KS where he helped start Faith Baptist Church, and served in the nursing home ministry as well as other ministries for 15 years. They moved back to Salina in 2010.

He is preceded in death by his first born child, Debi Comer, his parents, and eight siblings.

Wayne is survived by his wife Deloris and 3 children, Diana (Les) Glavin, Dory Boyd (Portia) and Wayne “Buddy” Jr (Pam) Boyd, and brother Bill Boyd.

He also enjoyed his grandchildren, Stephanie (Josh) Bowman, Levi (Jamie) Glavin, A.J. (Liz) Boyd, Sydney Glavin, Joel Glavin, and Wyatt Boyd. Along with his great-grandchild Caylei Comer.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Ray Avenue Baptist Church, 2801 E Ray Avenue, Salina KS.
