Dean Ahl Brungardt, 59, of McPherson, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, at his home with family by his side under hospice care. He had courageously fought his cancer for two and half years. He was born October 8, 1962 in Omaha, NE, to Al Brungardt (deceased) and Marilyn (Brungardt) Bishop. Dean moved to McPherson, Kansas in 1990 and worked as an electrical lineman for the Board of Public Utilities for 31 years. He had numerous interests including dirt track racing (most recently at 81 Speedway near Wichita), bowling, boating, motorcycle riding and golfing.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Bishop, of Salina, brother, Darin Burngardt, of Wichita, and sister, Denise Clayton and brother-in-law Steve, of Moundridge; and nephews, Chris and Alex.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, November 12, at Ryan Mortuary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Fr. Kevin Weber as celebrant, rosary will begin at 10:10 a.m. Burial will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
