Betty Mae Serrault, 95, of Salina, Kan., passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021. She was born on September 8, 1926, in Abilene, Kan., to Carl and Gracie (Saum) Lipe.
Betty graduated from the Halsted School of Nursing and Marymount College. She was proud to be a BSN and had a life-long career in nursing, retiring from the Civil Service (Schilling Air Force Base) and St. John’s Hospital after over 40 years.
Survivors include: her children, Jean Johnson (Gene), Dennis (Linda), David (Debbie), and Ann Serrault; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Dennis H. Serrault; two brothers; two sisters; and two granddaughters.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m., Friday, November 26, with family present from 5-7, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 27, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Salina, with burial to follow at Crown Point Cemetery, Culver, Kan.
Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in care of Ryan Mortuary.
