July 12, 1965 – November 29, 2021. Wesley Bob Aills, 56, of Salina, went to sleep on this earth and with all our hearts, we believe he woke up in the arms of Jesus. Bobby was born in Portage, Indiana to Bob and Charllotte Aills on July 12, 1965 and was a lifetime resident of Salina, KS. Bobby was able to attend school from elementary through secondary and graduated from Salina Central High. He worked at Love Box, Phillips Lighting, QCS (OCCK) and various other jobs. He was dedicated to working and took his responsibilities very seriously. As independent as Bobby was, he wanted to be with his beloved Daddy and Mama and remained with them until their passing and then lived with family.

Coming from a large family of five, Bobby was our sunshine, our baby, and was loved and showed love to almost everyone he met. He loved Jesus, and although he could not read, you would find him daily with his Bible open on his lap, legs crossed, just like his dad. He loved his big extended family and was known to be the “baby whisperer.” Bobby was so gentle, loving and kind and was he was the center of our laughter, tears, fun and joy. He adored our Pastor, his family and the people at Ray Avenue Baptist Church. Bobby could impersonate different people like no other, their actions, walk and talk.

Although perfect he may sound, he had a very onery side to him, which also made us laugh. Bobby was the “Singing Aills Family” drummer and also played the spoons. His favorite song was “It Is Well.” He loved Gospel, bluegrass and country music. He loved wrestling and knew all their names, and everything about them. He was quite opiniated about who was good and who was not. Dr. Pepper, Doritos and resees peanut butter cups made him very happy as he would binge every Friday night watching the Three Stooges, Laurel and Hardy, Hee Haw. (His party night).

Bobby is survived by his siblings Vickie Weinheimer (Phil), Sandy Rueckert (Randy), Rick Flack (Julie), Jody Herwig (Mike), and Mary Aills. Bobby was preceded in death by his loving parents Bob and Charlotte Aills and many other family members.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at Ray Avenue Church. His celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ray Avenue Church, Salina, KS. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg.
