Virgil Lewis Campbell, 68, of Columbus, GA, departed this life Sunday, December 5, 2021. He was born January 16, 1953, in Council Grove, KS.
Virgil served in the United States Army from 1970 – 1991. Then went on to work for the US postal service in electrical and maintenance for several years before retiring and eventually relocating to Columbus, GA to be closer to his children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emanuel and Lillian Campbell; brother, Emanuel Duereal Campbell, and two infant sons, Virgil, Jr., and Victor.
Survivors include his children, Wayne Campbell of Atlanta, GA, Ebony Ramey (Roshaan) of Lithonia, GA and Reance’ Gordon (Willie) of Lithonia, GA, whom he loved like a daughter.
Grandchildren, Kai Jr., Khalib, Xavier Rae’ven, and Starr; 1 great grandchild on the way; sister, Shirley (Kelly) Jones of Salina, KS, Karen Scroggins, of Junction City, KS, brother Michael Campbell of Dallas, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, and very close friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.
