Todd Robert “Moose” Moss, 50, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, December 14th, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Todd was born in Salina, Kansas on June 5, 1971, son of Vicki (Markley) Moss and the late Robert Moss.
Todd graduated class of 1990 from Salina South High School, after high school, Todd, played football at Garden City for 2 years. He worked at Pestinger Heating and Air as an electrician and at Long McArthur Ford as a quality control specialist.
On September 25, 2004, Todd married Marla Mendoza and to that union two children were born.
He was a supporter and enthusiast of Ducks Unlimited, Salina Catbackers and the Kansas Shrine Bowl. Todd was a devoted and active father in his daughters’ sporting endeavors, even coaching their Salina Nemisis and Salina ShaBam softball teams. One of his greatest legacies he will leave behind is the impact he had in the lives of many of the youth of Salina as he supported and coached various sports in the community. Todd never met a stranger and always got along with everyone he met. If you needed a hand, he was the first one to drop everything to help out.
Todd had a passion for food and cooking and would watch the cooking channel every Sunday morning while waiting for football to begin. He was a huge fan of the K- State Wildcats and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Marla Moss; two daughters, Taely Moss, Brylee Moss, both of Salina; mother, Vicki Moss, two sisters, Tami Moss-Barrett, Tiffany Reiber (Michael); mother-in-law, Vita Gomez and many nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by fur babies: Ella Grace and Sophie Lynn.
Todd was preceded in death by his father, Robert Moss; father-in-law, Robert Gomez; and fur baby, Karmel Delight.
Visitation will be held from 4 PM to 8 PM, Monday, December 20th at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, December 21st at First Covenant Church in Salina, Kansas with Doug McHenry officiating.
Cremation has been selected and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
