Harvey L. Newman Sr, of Salina, KS, passed away on December 19, 2021.

Harvey was born on October 31, 1930, in Terrell Texas to Dennis and Annie Mae Newman.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Ruby Nell Newman. They were married on July 16, 1959 and married for 61 years.

Preceding him in death is son Vertdell Freeney (Gloria), and 9 Siblings: Ernest Newman, Fredrick Newman, Clyde Newman, CW Newman, Louvenia Newman, Lula Mae Newman, Charlie Pratt, Mary Sue Coleman, and Jerutha Pratt and Claude Humphrey.

Harvey has one surviving sister: Valarie (Pratt) Jackson of Dallas, Texas.

Five Surviving Children: son, Paul Newman (Lynn) Salina, KS; daughter, Brenda Polk of Kansas City, MO; son, Harvell Newman Jr. (Donna) Topeka, KS; son, Robbie Newman (Kathy) Lenexa, KS; and daughter, Janet Lamb (Tim), Bowie, MD.

19 Grandchildren, 43 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great Great-Grandchildren.

Also, a host of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Harvey worked for Busboom & Rauh as a Master Carpenter for 28 years, retiring in 1995.

Harvey was a member of the “United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.” He was presented with the “Golden Anniversary Award“ for 50 years membership, which he joined on July 27, 1965.

Visitation will be 11:00am until 1:00pm, Monday, December 27, 2021, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford Street, with a funeral service following at 1:00pm.Graveside serviced to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.  All guests are asked to wear masks please.
