Leo Gene Clanton, 84, Salina, died December 24, 2021. He was born April 27, 1937, in Lindsey, KS. the son of Oliver and Evalina Clanton. He graduated from Assaria High School in 1955, was a US Army Veteran and retired from Beech Aircraft after 33 years. He married the former Barbara Ann Dressler April 15, 1960 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Salina. Leo was a representative of the Republican Party for Donald Trump and a member of the Wayne Newton Friends Club.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Barbara Jean Leihy of New Jersey; grandson, Rusty Leihy, and former son in law, Patrick Leihy, both of Lee Summit, Mo; and two special little girls, 4 year old Bristol and 3 year old Brynlee Carlson.

Leo’s request was to be cremated and there will be no services held at this time.
