Stacy Jean (Swartz) Weis, 58, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 after a yearlong battle with cancer. Stacy was preceded in death by her father, Don Swartz, Sr. of Salina, KS. She is survived by her mother, Jeanne Miller of Jackson, WY., her son, Cameron Weis and grandson, Cooper of Shawnee, KS as well as five brothers and sisters: Don Swartz (Laura) of Shawnee, KS.; Jay Swartz (Suzy) of Tucson, AZ.; Vickie Wearing (Steve) of Salina, KS; Cindy Spencer (Mark) of Wendell, ID; and Aaron Miller, of Star Valley Ranch, WY and 5 nieces and nephews and their children.
Stacy was born in Salina, KS but spent most of her school years in Jackson, WY where she was an accomplished basketball and all-state volleyball player. In her adult years, she lived and worked in Phoenix, AZ, Martinique, FRA, Salina, KS, St. Louis, MO, Overland Park, KS, Portland, OR and Denver, CO. In her 32 years with Wells Fargo Advisors, she was well respected with good friends throughout the country. In her spare time Stacy enjoyed relaxing in the mountains, floating in her brother’s pool, and thrilling her family and friends with her exceptional cooking skills. Stacy was loved in her neighborhood in Aurora for her regular hosting of the book and wine club meetings.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Mile High United Way of Denver in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina, KS, 67401. A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
