EL DORADO – April Dana Alton, 55, peacefully passed in her sleep at El Dorado Care and Rehab on January 7, 2022. She was the daughter of Michael (deceased) and Anita (Niemann) Alton of Salina.
Born on December 23, 1966, April lived a life of health concerns which she approached as a warrior, battling each one. She had a positive outlook and could light a room with her smile and laugh. She was very creative and enjoyed puzzles and games. Most of all, April enjoyed visits with her Mom, and facetiming her grandnephews and niece.
April is survived by nephew, David Alton (Laura); nieces, Krystle Dilley (Eric), and Kyla Alton (Chris Sparks), all of Manhattan, Kansas; and special “sister” friend, Joni (Webber) Lagerman (Mike) of Salina. She also enjoyed her grandnephews, Shawn, Jaxzon, Caleb, and grandniece, Peyton. April is also survived by her uncle, William Niemann (Diana) of Morley, Michigan, and cousins Elaine Talarski, Casey, and Zack Niemann.
She was preceded by her brother, Kevin Alton; grandparents, Chester and Helen Alton, and Donald and Louise Niemann; and uncle, Louis Niemann.
The family would like to thank all those at El Dorado Care and Rehab for the love, care, and support they have given April for so many years.
Memorials may be made in care of Ryan Mortuary to be used for the support of care animals in nursing homes and local waterfowl preservation.
No services are planned at this time.
