Frank Berlin Rapp, 89, of Salina, Kan., passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. He was born on August 19, 1932 at the family home in Rockville, Mo., to Fred and Mildred (Ramsey) Rapp.
Frank served four years in the Air Force and was a Kansas State Trooper for the Highway Patrol for two years. He then joined Bradley Building Company as a supervisor, then Rapp & Gaines Construction, which later became Rapp Construction when his partner retired and son, Jay Rapp, became a partner.
He is survived by his sons, Jay Rapp and Dr. Jeffrey Rapp (Dr. Maria); daughter, Shirley Schamberger; grandchildren, Brandon Rapp, Haley Oberheu (Gage), Chad Schamberger (Lina), and Chase Schamberger; great-grandchildren, Sofi and Sawyer Schamberger and Santiago Roldan; sister, Joyce Martinson; niece, Juliana Weber; and nephew, Greg Rapp.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; parents; brothers, Larry and Jerry Rapp, and infant brother, Rex Rapp.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
The Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina, with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
