Lowell Leroy “Red” Nightingale, 87, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Thursday, January 20th, 2022.
Lowell was born in Minneapolis, Kansas on January 20, 1935, a son of the late Coral (Blondefield) and Lawrence Nightingale.
On August 22, 1954, Lowell married Dorothy Tasker in Delphos at the Delphos Presbyterian Church.
He worked as a Lineman at KP&L in Salina, for 40 years, and was a foreman for the last 10 years, and a member of the Local #304 IBEW.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Dorothy (Tasker) Nightingale; two daughters, Debra Ramirez (Trev), of Littleton, Colorado, Jackie Schropp (Lonny), of Assaria, Kansas; grandchildren, Risa Ann Frantz (Josh), of Fort Collins, Colorado, Jamie Fuqua (Matt), of McPherson, Kansas, Justin Schropp, of Littleton, Colorado; great grandchildren, Kinley Fuqua and Kamden Fuqua. He is also survived by his sister, Virginia Ann Seyfang.
Lowell is preceded in death by his brother, Herbert Nightingale.
Visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday, January 27th at Carlson – Geisendorf Funeral Home in Salina.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Friday, January 28th at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Salina, Kansas.
