Dennis Ray Prothro, Jr., 41, of Salina, passed away January 24, 2022, at Salina Regional Health Center, with his family by his side. He was born December 7, 1980 in Salina.
JR graduated from Salina Central High School in 1999. He married Regina Glassburn on May 25, 2002. He worked for the operator engineers local union 101, as a CNC laser operator and as a medical transport driver. JR dearly loved his sons Trent and Colton and was so proud of their accomplishments. He was a loving devoted husband to Regina. JR has a big heart and was always there to lend a hand. He loved riding his Harley with friends, working on motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He loved to joke around and be the life of the party. He will always be loved and deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Regina Prothro; sons, Trent Isaiah Prothro and Colton Ray Prothro; father, Dennis Ray Prothro Sr. mother, Mary Nickel (Dion); sister, Alisha Prothro; Uncle Larry Prothro (Janelle); cousins, Megan Prothro Alameda, Audra Prothro and Graham Prothro.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Billie Prothro.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church, 400 E Crawford St, Salina.
