Ernestine “Ernie” L. (Tincher) Goerend, 83, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022. She was born December 19, 1938, in Wichita, Kansas.
Ernestine was an outstanding homemaker. Ernie’s love and interest for her children were even more outstanding, as when she attained the status of and served as the Kansas State PTA President from 1989 – 1991.
Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest, and Maude (Stoops) Tincher, her beloved husband of 60 years, Duane T. Goerend; her daughter, Pamela S. Schick, a brother, William R. Tincher, a sister, Ruth Ann Cox, and a grandson, Justin Willingham.
Survivors include her children, Kimberly S. Willingham, and Linda S. (David) Rohleder, both of Salina, son-in-law Bradley Schick, of White City, 3 grandchildren, Dakota Rohleder (Ashley), Dalton Willingham (Courtney), and Hannah Lott (Dustin); 10 great grandchildren; Ava Sidebottom, Aleah Willingham, Halleigh Willingham, Adelynn Willingham, Jaxen Willingham, Randi Willingham, Decklan Lott, Malcolm Rohleder, Hatcher Lott, and Finley Willingham.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 11:30am until 12:30pm, with Ernestine’s funeral service to start at 1:00pm at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina.
Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park following the funeral service.
