Sally R. (nee Scriven) Crowley, 85, died March 12, 2022, at Salina Regional Hospital. She was born on July 6, 1936 to William Oval and Avis Amanda (nee Province) Scriven in Abilene, Kansas.
She worked for several years in the Salina City Clerk’s Office, initially after graduating from High School and again decades later after her husband retired from the Air Force.
Sally traveled the world as a military spouse, including England, Arizona, Guam and Michigan. She was a member of Belmont Boulevard Christian Church, Salina, for 50 years. Any memorials may be directed to the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis (“Frank”) J. Crowley to whom she was married for 53 years. She is survived by her two children, daughter Frances Crowley and son-in-law John Dickey of Texas City, TX, son Timothy Crowley and daughter-in-law Edi Crowley of Madison, CT, four grandchildren, Adam Crowley (Aileen Gallagher), Claire Crowley (Ben Palkowski), Thomas Dickey (Nicole Arvin) and Elizabeth Dickey McFaddin (Alex McFaddin), four great-grandchildren, Aleela McFaddin, Alex Janelle McFaddin, Kieran Dickey and Axel McFaddin, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, sister Della Mae Smith and brothers William Scriven and Raymond Scriven.
A memorial service will be held at Belmont Boulevard Christian Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 26. The family respectfully requests that those attending the indoor memorial service at the church wear a mask to protect those most vulnerable.
