Law enforcement officers are looking for an inmate who walked away from the Barton County jail Sunday night.

Sheriff Brian Belledir says guards discovered 23-year-old Lee W. Dean was not in his cell about 11 p.m. Sunday.

Dean was jailed on probation violations and was not armed when he walked away.

Belledir says it’s possible Dean is heading to Hutchinson where he knows several people.

Dean is white, 6 foot-1 and weighs 150 pounds.
