Bessie “Orise” Halford, 94, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Sunday, March 27th, 2022.

Bessie was born in Bridgeport, Kansas on June 17, 1927, a daughter of the late Bessie Maybelle (Milleson) and Carl Vernon Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald, of 50 years, and son, Jerald Dean Halford.

Orise married Donald Halford, June 1, 1946 and to this union 2 sons were born.

Survivors include her son, David “Wayne” Halford (Tyra), of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Faith Kristine Hernandez (Rafael), Aubrey Miranda Bucy (Nathan), Kathleen Jaynette Crumpton (Jay), Hillary Brooke Gullett (Clinton), Clayton Scott Halford; great grandchildren, Brooklynne, Jacklynne, Chase, Parker, Clayden and Mason.

Orise is also survived by a sister, Blanche Lavone Clark, of Salina, Kansas and Daughter-in-law Helen Halford, of Salina, Kansas.

Cremation has been chosen.
