Donald Max “Don” Heller, 91, of Salina, Kan., passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022. He was born on August 26, 1930, in rural Almena, Kan., to Oscar and Osa (Boatman) Heller. He was baptized at St. George Episcopal Church, Kansas City, Mo. On November 8, 1953, Don and Carol Jean Kelly were united in marriage in Norton, Kan.
Don was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1950 and served in the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and member of the American Legion for more than 60 years. Don was the owner/operator of Amark Printing in Salina form 1962-2017. He enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Lincoln Continental Car Club and Salina Antique Car Club.
Don is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Marlene Edwards (Dennis), Sundance, Wyo., Marilyn Rose (Paul), Palmetto, Fla., and Martha Smith, Salina; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Helen Maxine Archer-Bean and Betty Jean Pfeifer.
A private service and burial will be held at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dignity Care Home or Kindred Hospice or Christ Cathedral Episcopal Church, in care of Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
