Police make two arrests after a Drug Task Force investigation into illegal potpourri sales.
According to Captain Mike Sweeney, 60-year-old Rasikbhia Mody and 53-year-old Shobhnaben Mody, both of Salina were arrested on Thursday after a Kansas Bureau of Investigation lab confirmed that the two allegedly sold a potpourri product that contained a substance that is banned in Kansas.
Police used a confidential informant to purchase “Green Giant Potpourri” from the Pump Mart at 1118 North 9th Street.
Officers used a search warrant on Thursday at the store and seized cash, illegal potpourri and drug paraphernalia.
The two are now facing multiple charges of distributing a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and more details will be released on Friday afternoon.
