A man with a Honduran passport and driver license is detained in Salina on a warrant from immigration officials.

Police say an officer made a traffic stop in the 400 block of N. 9th Wednesday morning around 2:20am.

The driver, 44-year-old Abrahan Turcios-Macias handed the officer his Honduran identification – which was then checked through the FBI’s  National Crime Information Center.

A warrant for Macias was found in the database and he was arrested on immigration charges.
