GYPSUM – Janice Colleen Ade, 87, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 after a long illness.

The middle of three children, she was born November 5, 1934, in Salina, Kansas to Carl W. and Joyce E. (Harri) Olson. She graduated from Gypsum High School and studied home economics at Kansas State before wedding Donald R. Ade in 1954.

Janice excelled as a homemaker and was devoted to her husband, children and the family farm. She made incredible rolls, was an exceptional seamstress, an avid gardener and always loved a good auction.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, two daughters, Linda Ade Brand (Robert G. Brand) of Kansas City, Mary Ade of Nantucket, MA, one granddaughter, Julia Brand, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at the Roxbury United Methodist Church. A private inurnment will be held at Gypsum Valley Cemetery #2.
