A Salina man is arrested after waving a knife at three people on a porch.
Officers were called to 600 block of Viemont Street on Tuesday night around 10:15pm, after a verbal confrontation turned violent.
Police say 20-year-old Phillip Humphry was walking past a house when he and three people outside the home exchanged words.
The victims told officers that Humphry then opened a knife and began swinging it at the group.
Police say he tried to punch all three as they moved toward the door. Humphry then allegedly kicked a 19-year-old male in the stomach, before the door closed.
He then smashed a window on the door before fleeing on foot.
Officers found him a short time later near the corner of Viemont and Crawford.
Humphry is facing multiple charges including battery, damage to property and a minor in consumption of alcohol.
