A McConnell Air Force Base airman is dead following a car crash in Butler County.

Authorities say Staff Sergeant Alex Lafortuneluna was involved in a crash near El Dorado Lake late Sunday night.

The 28-year-old Illinois native was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deadly crash is under investigation.
