A woman who earned the trust of an elderly Salina couple is arrested after allegedly using their credit card for personal purchases.

Police took 35-year-old Angel M. Flener into custody on Wednesday after an investigation revealed she used their Discover Card on July 20 to make purchases at Wal-Mart, K-Mart and the Dillon’s Supermarket on E. Cloud for a total of $439.17.

Police say the male victim who is in his mid-80’s contacted Discover Card when he noticed some charges that he did not make and then followed up with police.

Flener is now facing charges that could include criminal use of a financial card, theft by deception and forgery.
