There is a new man in charge of athletics at the University of Kansas.

Jeff Long was officially introduced as KU Director of Athletics Wednesday at the Lied Center in Lawrence, Kan.

Chancellor Douglas A. Girod spoke before turning the microphone over to Long for a statement and questions from media members.

He spoke about why he took the job, what is the biggest football issue, his contract status, plans for football and the new renovations for Memorial Stadium.
