When students arrive to Bethany College this fall, they will be greeted with several upgrades across campus.
Some of the more noticeable ones can be seen on the campus grounds. Thanks to many alumni and friends, two fountains located near the campus amphitheater have been repaired and waters flowing in them again. Near the same area, shade umbrellas have been added to picnic tables and new flowers added to several planters.
A group of alumni and friends, faculty and staff invested time, talent and financial resources to refinish the stage floor in Presser Hall Auditorium. “For the first time in many decades, our stage will look as good as our choir sounds,” said President William Jones.
Students will also notice improvements in computing and Internet access across campus. New computers have been installed in student labs and thanks to a gift to the college, upgrades are planned for improved Wi-Fi in the residence halls.
Classes for Bethany students begin on Thursday, August 25. Students will begin returning to campus on August 16 for pre-season fall sports. New students arrive on Sunday, August 21 and returning students on August 23.
