A new Panasonic plant is coming to Kansas. Governor Laura Kelly has announced the company is investing four-billion-dollars to build an expansive facility in De Soto.

The plant is expected to bring up to four-thousand jobs to the area, along with potentially 16-thousand construction jobs.

Panasonic says the factory will build high-capacity batteries for Tesla’s electric vehicles.
