UPDATE: At Least 4 Killed In Wichita Airport Crash

A plane has crashed at Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport Thursday morning.

A twin engine Beechcraft King Air lost an engine on takeoff and crashed into the two story Flight Safety building located on South Airport Road. The plane was trying to return to the runway. At least four people were killed, and four others were transported to the hospital. Five other people were unaccounted for.

The runways at the airport so far have not been impacted.

FAA investigators are at the scene. The National Transportation Safety Board has been notified.
