A Kansas company is receiving FDA approval for its cancer treatment trials.

The decision will allow Genzada Pharmaceuticals in Sterling to start human clinical trials for its plant-derived treatment.

Officials say the treatment will help shrink tumors and help prevent the cancer from spreading.

Genzada will start enrolling patients for the clinical trial in 2019.
