The candidates for Kansas governor are working to build support for the general election.

Democratic incumbent Governor Laura Kelly and the Republican nominee, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt met yesterday in Olathe for a forum hosted by the Kansas Chamber of Commerce.

Kelly highlighted efforts to attract businesses to the state, while Schmidt discussed a need to improve workforce development.
