Salina police are investigating a theft and burglary that happened in late June.

Samuel Mattocks, the alleged suspect, allegedly stole $175 cash and three blank checks, two of which he cashed at Bank of Tescott on Santa Fe Road for a total amount of $672.28.

Mattocks was arrested yesterday afternoon and remains in police custody.
