A Salina man leads police on a high speed chase after allegedly kicking a woman.
Monday night around 9pm officers were called to the area of North Street and Idlewilde after an argument turned violent.
Police say 25-year-old Alan Salgado walked up to a Chevy Suburban driven by a 22-year-old woman he is acquainted with and pulled her out of the vehicle.
Several children exited the SUV before he kicked her and drove away at a high rate of speed. Police say the chase began when he continued westbound on North Street and ran a stop sign at Santa Fe.
Officers report Salgado’s vehicle reached speeds of 75-miles per hour as he drove south bound on I-135 and was finally pulled over on Crawford Street.
The woman refused medical treatment for swollen lips and a cut on her nose.
Salgado is facing multiple charges that include aggravated battery, DUI and fleeing and eluding law enforcement.
