Salina Police released additional information on Wednesday about an accident involving a child in North Salina on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say a 9-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after she hurried across State Street and ran into a 2013 Ford Escape driven by Donna Craig of Salina.
The girl was treated for abrasions and a broken right tibia at Salina Regional Health Center.
The driver was not cited for the accident that happened around 3:45pm Tuesday.

A child was injured after colliding with a car late Tuesday afternoon in North Salina.
Salina Police told KSAL News at the scene that a grade school aged girl was walking north on College Avenue, approaching State Street. As the child was running across State Street she ran into the side of a car that was headed west.
The child was knocked to the ground. She was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health to be treated for an abrasion on her leg, and an ankle injury.
The accident happened at around 3:45 Tuesday afternoon.
