Cool Comics, Collectibles, and Cosplay

If attendance is any indication, Salina loves its comics, collectibles, and its cosplay. For the third year in a row, Salina Comic Con exceeded the expectations of organizers.

The event, which is dedicated to comics, collectibles, art, cards, and cosplay was this weekend at the Tony’s Pizza Events Center.

There were over 50 tables of comics, toys, artwork and cards – both sports and nonā€sports. The event features local and out of state vendors who were buying, selling and trading.

One of the highlights was a cosplay costume contest. Because of its growing popularity, there were two contests this year, one on Saturday for adults and one on Sunday for kids.

The Salina Comic Con is a little different than similar other celebrity-based events. It is truly a comic con, giving those who attend a chance to get in a little cheaper and to find toys, collectibles, and of course comics.

It’s traditional, but not required, for Comic Con attendees to dress up. Many were in costume throughout the weekend.
