Kansas counties will receive 400-million-dollars in state funding to help deal with health and economic challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The funding was approved yesterday by the State Finance Council, and will be distributed to counties based on population, case rates and unemployment levels.

The money will also help Kansas communities make preparations for potential future Coronavirus outbreaks.
