Crews Recognized for Rescuing Toddler

Emergency crews in Moundridge are being honored for rescuing a toddler from an underground PVC pipe.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called Sunday afternoon and found a 14-month-old child stuck in a 12-inch pipe about 10-to-12 feet deep.

Crews worked about 20 minutes to free the toddler, who was unharmed.
