Police are working to identify a woman who was found dead in a Salina park early Tuesday morning.
Police say at 6:10 am officers were sent to Lakewood Park, 250 N. Lakewood Park Drive, to a report of a female lying face down near the south entrance. Officers located a presently unidentified deceased white female.
The woman appears to be approximately 25 to 35 years of age, 5 foot to 5’ 6”, 200-250 pounds, hair appears to be a dyed reddish color. She was wearing a pink-colored top, black tennis shoes, and blue jean capris.
This investigation is in the preliminary stages.

A law enforcement presence was at the scene at Lakewood Park, conducting an investigation of a death at the park.
First responders were called to the park in the overnight hours to a report of an unresponsive person.
