Deputies from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office responded to 11 weather related accidents over the weekend.
Sheriff-elect Roger Soldan tells KSAL News that between Friday and Sunday, icy road conditions contributed to 11 crashes, one involved 3 vehicles with minor injuries that no one was treated for.
Another crash involved an ambulance from Salina EMS on Saturday morning on I-135. Soldan says a 19-year-old driver from Assaria hit her brakes on a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix at the Smolan exit and skidded into the emergency vehicle, causing damage to the lights on the rear of the ambulance.
