A Geneseo man was taken into custody after he allegedly rear ended a Salina motorist and fled the scene.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that 33-year-old Jerrod Clark was arrested in the 400 block E. Wilson on Friday night around 11:30pm.

Police say Clark was driving drunk and following a Ford Fusion at close range on Republic Street.

A short time later he rammed his Lincoln Towncar into the woman’s bumper three times and then hit a tree in a yard in the 300 block of E. Wilson.

The woman was not injured and damage to her Ford is estimated at $3,000.

Clark is facing charges of DUI and criminal damage to property.
