A Kansas law that prohibits electioneering within 250 feet of a polling place is upheld.

A federal judge ruled yesterday that the law is constitutional and does not infringe on First Amendment rights.

The group Kansas for Change as well as residents in Sedgwick, Johnson and Douglas counties argued that the law violated their free speech rights.

Supporters of the law say it prevents voter intimidation and voter fraud.
