Rural firefighters kept a brush pile fire from spreading to adjacent fields on Sunday.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office reports that a pile of tree limbs and brush may have been ignited by nearby fireworks on Sunday evening just before 9pm.

Crews from RFD #7 made quick work of the fire that was burning in the 5500 block of N.Ohio.

No one was hurt and no property or structures were damaged.
