A former Wichita golf course will become a park.

The Wichita City Council has voted to hire a Kansas City-based consulting firm to convert the former Clapp Golf Course into a park.

The golf course at Harry and Oliver closed in 2019.

Two public meetings will be scheduled to discuss ideas for the park.
