A new person will oversee the operations of Salina’s Friends of the River organization.
According to the organization, the Friends of the River Foundation have hired Jane Anderson as executive director to assist with management, financial development and operational oversight. With a goal to restore the flow to the Old Smoky Hill River Jane will work with the city and other agencies to promote river restoration.
“We are excited to have Jane represent the Friends of the River organization. She brings a lot of great experience and passion for Salina that will help the project continue to move forward in a positive direction,” said Jessica Martin, Board President.
Jane will also be working with the Board of the Friends of the River to develop volunteer teams, and funding for operations through donors and grants.
Jane is a graduate from Marymount College in Theater and English. She has a total of 15 years of experience in Advancement work at Kansas Wesleyan University and Bethany College. The latest being Bethany College as Director of Annual Giving.
