Kansas’ outgoing governor is issuing his final proclamation.

Governor Sam Brownback on Friday signed a proclamation declaring today as a “Day of Prayer and Fasting” in Kansas.

The proclamation comes as Brownback is set to leave office tomorrow afternoon to join the Trump Administration as the Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom.

Lieutenant Governor Jeff Colyer will become Kansas’ new governor upon Brownback’s departure.
